White Tie

No. 2002

White Tie 4.4 5 25 25
Fantastic We used this in our north facing lounge having deliberated about paint for a while. It is warm and bright with a slight cream/yellow undertone. It goes with any colour and creates an inviting and cosy feel - highly recommended November 17, 2014

Lovely shade of white A lovely, soft, chalky white. Really easy to apply November 4, 2014
Paint comes off far too easily Continual problems with this paint. Flakes off, almost brushes off with minimal contact. October 2, 2014
patchy finish On opening tin we thought we had the wrong colour but was told by F&B not to worry it would be ok. The limewash was very difficult to apply and decorator was not happy! It took several days to dry out and finally the colour settled. Sadly it doesn't stay like that as each time it gets damp or rains it goes back to being patchy and colour changes. Just hoping it will sort itself out eventually??? It was finished 10 days ago. September 1, 2014
Water based still not up to oil based finishing Had to use three coats to achieve colour depth of oil based finishes but on the plus side working time reduced. August 27, 2014
Lovely warm colour In my little breakfast room I used White Tie on ceiling, French Gray on walls and Old White on woodwork, this is a lovely warm combination, however, this is a south facing room. Used also in the lounge, which is north facing on the ceiling, with London Stone on the walls, again this is a lovely warm combination. Also used on walls in hallway with Old White on woodwork. Can highly recommend White Tie, creamy warm colour!!! June 19, 2014
An amazing color I just used White Tie to paint the stairways/hallways in my home, and it has made the narrow spaces look larger. It's an elegant, neutral color you simply cannot go wrong with, unless you hate yellow (there is a creamy-off-yellow undertone). Try it on walls with Benjamin Moore "Chantilly Lace" on the trim. Delicious. I'm trying to figure out whether it would work on the ceiling of my master bedroom, with the walls painted in Farrow & Ball "Pale Powder" and the trim in B.Moore Chantilly Lace. Opinions welcome! April 26, 2014
