Tallow

No. 203

* Samples available in Estate Emulsion only. Colours on screen may vary from actual paint.

Tallow has an incredible ability to illuminate a room. Its light reflective qualities are second to none so it is perfect if you want to lighten a dark space or if one colour is required throughout a property. It creates a warm but fresh feel with a slight pink undertone so also much favoured for nurseries. White & Light Tones Undercoat.

Very pleasing colour. We have used this on the walls ( modern emulsion is perfect with grandchildren !) and we find the effect very pleasing - clean, fresh but an interesting neutral! 24 March 2015
Excellent paint as expected I like to use F & B paint because it is simply the easiest to use and gives the best finish. It is slightly more expensive than other paints but, being water based, it is easy to clean brushes, doesn't smell and is my favourite. 08 March 2015
Fantastic colour & finish Moved into new house and decided we couldn't afford to replace the kitchen/utility units which were a delightful shade of nicotine yellow. Tiles were also hideous - small, multi-coloured, dark colours, floor to ceiling Read loads of blogs about how best to paint kitchen cupboards & tiles. Tiles sorted with Zinsser Perma White (matt#; Cupboards, carcasses & architraves treated with Owatrol then 2 coats of estate eggshell applied with a foam roller #or brush for fine details). 4 weeks solid graft and new crystal knobs, and it looks like a new kitchen - so pleased with the results and just in time for Christmas. The price of F&B caused a sharp intake of breath from my other half, but I don't plan on repeating this exercise any time soon so worth doing it right the first time. 19 November 2014
Excellent paint I chose this colour for the bedroom and it was an excellent choice! The walls look really good. I will use Farrow Ball paint again. 12 November 2014
Tallow Estate and Modern emulsions: Excellent paints! In 2007, we painted our kitchen and dining room in Tallow with one feature wall in the dining room seen through the archway from the kitchen painted in Rectory Red. The effect is stunning, very pleasing on the eye and the red gives a bold splash of deep heat to the mellow warmth of the cream. We like it so much that we recently freshened up the whole area in the original colours rather than changing them for any other combination. 24 September 2014
A lovely colour and rich finish Very pleased with this colour. We chose this colour for our kitchen cabinets and for panelling on the walls. The painter commented on the quality of the paint and how easy it was to work with it. We used F&B 'Bone' on the walls and it really compliments the Tallow and our emerald green Rayburn stove. 24 September 2014
Perfect; love this Tallow is the perfect cream/magnolia colour for neutral areas of a house. We have it in our kitchen and hall. We've had it for years and bought it this time just to freshen up. I wouldn't buy anything else as it is just the perfect hue. Also, you cannot beat Farrow and Ball for quality, depth of colour, great coverage, perfect hues and durability. I have used other brands and always regret it as they are always brighter and stand out, whereas Farrow and Ball are deep and take you into the walls rather than looking flat and 'on' the walls. I cannot recommend them more highly. 01 September 2014
Tallow delivered excellent depth of colour and overall finish If you are looking for a paint colour with subtle soft tones Tallow is a great choice. It has a soft, creamy finish, with a hint of soft lemon in daylight and when the sun shines onto the walls and in the afternoon or evening you can find a hint of a very pale peach in it. The overall impression is of a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. 19 August 2014
