Tallow

No. 203

* Samples available in Estate Emulsion only. Colours on screen may vary from actual paint.

Tallow has an incredible ability to illuminate a room. Its light reflective qualities are second to none so it is perfect if you want to lighten a dark space or if one colour is required throughout a property. It creates a warm but fresh feel with a slight pink undertone so also much favoured for nurseries. White & Light Tones Undercoat.

Tallow was the perfect colour for our guest bedroom We feel like the room has been transformed by our choice of Farrow and Ball paints. We used Tallow on the walls and a suggested co-ordinating colour on the skirting. I think that the quality of the paint surely outweighs its high price. Our decorator always uses this brand, especially on older properties like ours. 20 May 2015
You get what you pay for I used to up-cycle furniture, initially using Farrow and Ball eggshell. For a while, due to its cost, I ditched it in favour of a cheaper option. More recently, when freshening up furniture for our own home, I returned to Farrow and Ball's Tallow, an old favourite. It's a lovely warm cream colour and the paint itself is beautiful. Really easy to use and great coverage. I bought a large 2.5l tin direct from Farow and Ball to get greater value. 19 May 2015
fabulous - looks great. highly recommend it - have used it in our hallway - goes well with old Victorian tiles and our new carpet. goes on quite thickly which is good as hides old bumps. 14 May 2015
Very pleasing colour. We have used this on the walls ( modern emulsion is perfect with grandchildren !) and we find the effect very pleasing - clean, fresh but an interesting neutral! 24 March 2015
Excellent paint as expected I like to use F & B paint because it is simply the easiest to use and gives the best finish. It is slightly more expensive than other paints but, being water based, it is easy to clean brushes, doesn't smell and is my favourite. 08 March 2015
Fantastic colour & finish Moved into new house and decided we couldn't afford to replace the kitchen/utility units which were a delightful shade of nicotine yellow. Tiles were also hideous - small, multi-coloured, dark colours, floor to ceiling Read loads of blogs about how best to paint kitchen cupboards & tiles. Tiles sorted with Zinsser Perma White (matt#; Cupboards, carcasses & architraves treated with Owatrol then 2 coats of estate eggshell applied with a foam roller #or brush for fine details). 4 weeks solid graft and new crystal knobs, and it looks like a new kitchen - so pleased with the results and just in time for Christmas. The price of F&B caused a sharp intake of breath from my other half, but I don't plan on repeating this exercise any time soon so worth doing it right the first time. 19 November 2014
Excellent paint I chose this colour for the bedroom and it was an excellent choice! The walls look really good. I will use Farrow Ball paint again. 12 November 2014
Tallow Estate and Modern emulsions: Excellent paints! In 2007, we painted our kitchen and dining room in Tallow with one feature wall in the dining room seen through the archway from the kitchen painted in Rectory Red. The effect is stunning, very pleasing on the eye and the red gives a bold splash of deep heat to the mellow warmth of the cream. We like it so much that we recently freshened up the whole area in the original colours rather than changing them for any other combination. 24 September 2014
