* Samples available in Estate Emulsion only. Colours on screen may vary from actual paint.

Slipper Satin takes its name from the delicate colour of the silk used in traditional ballet slippers and is a popular white which can be used as a perfect neutral on walls with darker Off-White woodwork, or as a trim colour for the majority of the Farrow & Ball palette. It appears as a soft grey stone colour with no cool blue tones. White & Light Tones Undercoat.

dissapointed We were so excited to use Farrow and Ball for the first time but sadly we have been left a little crestfallen to say the least. After much deliberation we chose lime white for a spare bedroom which on the swatch from the test pot looked a lovely warm neutral. Fast forward to the end result and we were left with a dull, bizarre green shade which looked cold and just didn't work. So over we went with the newly purchased Slipper Satin, first impressions were great . A lovely neutral , the shade we were originally hoping for then once again after it had dried back comes the awful, green undertone!. So dissapointed I could cry and we are too tired to try a third time. I've tried and tried to get to like it but to no avail it's just looks cold and neither traditional nor modern. Best paint by a country mile ... I'm so pleased I started using Farrow and Ball paints. Beautiful paints to use. Gorgeous colours. A little goes a long way and no mess or waste. The end results are stunning. I used Slipper Satin on bedroom walls. It is a very calming neutral and I love it! I painted the bedroom furniture in Off White, woodwork in All White and the wooden floor in Pale Powder ... added some pretty floral textiles and charity shop finds and I'm delighted with the shabby chic meets vintage floral result. Customer service is fabulous too. I made a little mistake on my online order. Phoned F&B the next morning and they changed it for me. 27 April 2015
At last! I was originally recommended this colour as I was advised it worked well for woodwork when using Elephant's Breath on the walls. Despite being sceptical as I much prefer white woodwork, I got the decorator to paint all woodwork with it and was disappointed. Much prefer a crisper white for woodwork, so was rather fed up as it was too late to change! However, searched around for a lovely cream colour (with no yellow tones) for another room, and several tester pots later, came back to Slipper Satin for my son's room. Fantastic. Just what I was looking for, but would never have considered it without seeing it as an emulsion on the walls. I've now chosen it for my other son's room and couldn't be more delighted. Just shows you how different paints can look when painted on different surfaces and different rooms. 17 April 2015

Lovely neutral calm colour We just used slipper satin in our south facing very sunny bedroom and it works really well. The colour is very neutral, at first it reminded me of very pale latte but as it dried it became paler. At times I can see a subtle grey to it, it's cream with out being yellow. It looks really classy against all white woodwork. Delivery was extremely fast and the paint quality as always fantastic. It glides on the wall! We were painting on fresh plaster and only needed 2 coats of paint over the undercoat. The great thing about farrow and ball is that it does not smell, so we were able to sleep in the room the same day it had been painted! Highly recommended. 12 January 2015
More yellow than expected I thought that Slipper Satin would be a shade lighter than Skimming Stone, but it turned out to be quite yellow, which was unexpected. We have Slipper Satin in our hallways and in the playroom. It looks ok, it is very light, so it does brighten up the room but I am not completely enamoured with it as a colour, like I am with Skimming Stone and Elephant's Breath. 17 December 2014
Easy to use neutral colour Used in my daughters bedroom, bought prior to buying wallpaper but is a very versatile colour - a true light cream, not too yellow in colour. A very flexible neutral warm colour that would look good anywhere. 14 December 2014
Elegant and versatile neutral A beautiful and elegant neutral off white which evokes the colour of some 1920's silk satin fabrics. I have used it on both walls and woodwork in a west facing bedroom. I have combined it with both Pointing and Elephant Breath and it has worked very well in both cases. The effect is very calming and inspite it has a greyness in it, this colour still manages to achieve a warm and bright effect. Will definitely reccomend! 01 November 2014
