This was my first foray into F&B a few years ago, for my downstairs hallway, atrium stairwells and upper landing - light from north-east, south and east.
I live in a plain, small 70s house, so it needed all the character it could get. The colours just dance off the walls: from near intense turquoise to pale light blue to cool blue-green.
I have since painted my entire house in F&B inside and out; the fence (Borrowed Light), the window surrounds (Wimborne White), the decking (Skimming Stone), my terracotta flower potsâ¦, the front door (Stone Blue), my shed (Rectory Red), my bedroom Calamine, my daughter's bedroom Green Ground (with red and purple accents), my son's Cornforth White (with Charlotte's Locks and Yellowcake accents), my small kitchen Mizzle and Wimborne⦠I am looking to refresh my south facing living room from Farrow's Cream to probably Cooking Apple Green.
Throughout, I have used Wimborne White for the woodwork as it suits the simple style of my small, modest house, while the other colours give it character - and make it fun :)

A wonderful colour but we did need to use 3 coats to achieve the colour we wanted.

Not the color I was looking for
This was too light for what I wanted. I went instead with Light Blue. I only tested a sample space so not sure what it would look like in an entire room. Nice if you want a bright room.

Lovely color for a bedroom
I became addicted to Farrow and Ball estate emulsions after painting my husband's home office in London Stone. The result so handsome and stately. I chose Skylight estate emulsion for my grown daughter's old bedroom (covering the hideous turquoise she chose at age 11). Skylight has transformed the space into a warm, relaxing sanctuary. It's definitely blue, but a soft grey-blue, complex and interesting, changing with the light/time of day. I love that about Farrow and Ball paints. I recommend always ordering a couple of test pots first, painting test patches directly on the walls you are considering painting, then observing the colors at various times of the day. Without fail, I choose a different color than I think I will. I use the recommended primer/undercoat which is great for smoothing out my old farmhouse's walls, and I use a brush, not a roller. Easy process, flawless finish. Online order/delivery is fast and easy too. Doubt I'll ever use any other brand of paint!

Very soothing and calm light blue. Painted our bathroom 5 years ago with Skylight and just repainted it again with the same colour as Its so easy to live with!

This is the one
3 sample pots as we couldn't decide what colour to paint our hallway and upstairs landing. Skylight is the colour we all agreed was the best. The two other contenders were - Dimpse and Borrowed Light, both good, but Skylight came tops. Lovely light blue.

Great colour and easy to apply
An interesting colour that looks greaton our exterior woodwork. The product is easy to apply and has a great finish, though it does require 3 coats to get looking perfect.

Too light for what I wanted
When I put this outside as an exterior colour, it was far too light for the grey I wanted
