Shaded White

Shaded White 4.7 5 29 29
Expensive but worth every penny This is the first time that I have used Farrow and Ball paint. I have used the estate eggshell finish to paint my wooden kitchen units and table and chairs. The paint is dream to work with with excellent results. It dries very quickly though, so you need to take care not to touch up previously painted areas. As I painted wooden units, I needed at least two coats of the paint. I opted to use the Farrow and Ball primer/undercoat for white and light tones. Then two coats of the shaded white. The finish is great. Well worth using a primer. I hope that the paint stands the test of time in the kitchen area! Great paint!! December 1, 2014
My favourite (non) colour! I tried a number of similar colours and this was by far the best for me - neutral but warm. I have it all through the house, so each room flows into the next. I accent each room with different coloured soft furnishings and accessories. October 25, 2014
A subtle and elegant neutral I discovered shaded white when looking for a neutral shade to tone with kitchen cupboards painted in a shade of green similar to FB Mizzle. I painted my larder cupboard and mirror with estate emulsion in shaded white, the finish is very good and the colour has a green tone which is what I was hoping for. Although I have to say the colour does change in different aspects and light levels. I liked it so much I also painted my front door in estate eggshell and was also very pleased with the finished appearance and ease of use as the paint is water based. September 30, 2014
Wonderful colour I used Shaded White in eggshell and it is wonderful. It is a warm colour that tones well with pale grey and is not too yellowy or pinky. I used it with Light Blue to update a very old TV unit. The piece looks much better quality and now complements the rest of the room decor. September 21, 2014
Difficult colour for a bedroom I did my north facing bedroom in shaded white, with a Wimborne White ceiling and cornice and bright white woodwork. It's lovely, but getting a carpet and curtains that work with the colour is proving difficult. Might look best with a wooden floor, but this is not an option for me. Shaded white on my walls looks nothing like the colour on the shade card. Sometimes it is quite a definite green grey, as other reviews suggest, but sometimes it looks quite mushroom-y. Natural linens look brown against it. Laura Ashley "lichen" is a reasonable match, but they don't do a plain fabric in the colour. Their Chiltern fabric in the ready-made curtains is quite good with it, but a little dull. Am struggling so much with it, I'm reluctantly thinking of changing the wall colour, even though I like it a lot. July 5, 2014
Expensive mistake I used the estate eggshell which I have previously used in other colours with good results. Shaded white however is a nightmare to paint with. It I does not cover properly & takes at least 3 coats to get a non streaky result. Consequently I only just had enough paint to finish the job.. The colour is good but not worth the expense & hassle June 1, 2014
great paint, not so great price. This paint is great, lovely finish and easy to use. Would give 5 stars but think it is over priced. May 2, 2014
Looks excellent Farrow and ball paints generally give great results. April 28, 2014
