Great product, disappointed with colour The product was unquestionably excellent. The colour was a disappointment because I expected it to be a rich deep red when in fact it was rather a dark pink/red. I used the recommended undercoat and two top coats. 04 June 2015

Made our old chest of drawers look more up to date as it is a bright new colour We have painted our chest a few times and always liked the change. This tome we chose a modern colour and it looks superb. Lovely texture in paint and easy to use. 10 March 2015
Very disappointing Looking at previous reviews I have to add my own disappointment with Rectory Red. I used the modern emulsion and after five coats the paint remains very patchy and streaky on the walls. We have just finished decorating our Grade II listed property and have used Farrow and Ball throughout. The quality of all other Farrow and Ball colours I have used is superb. But not this one...... 04 March 2015
Looks great Had to use 3 coats to properly cover the wall. However once finished it looks great. Also did the first coat in estate and then realised I should have used modern for a better wear finish. Very pleased now with the colour and have had several nice comments on the colour. Looks rich and sumptuous. 30 December 2014
poor covering This product has a very poor covering ability i had to put 3 coats on and still have streak marks. it seems the pigment is separating. This was for a front door that we wanted it to have very rich glossy finish that is why we chose Farrow & Ball.I will be removing the paint in the spring and will probably use a Dulux oil based gloss. 09 December 2014
This colour is unforgiving it goes where it touches! Wow what a colour to use especially with pointing woodwork. Need to be very careful when using gets everywhere. Finish, after three coats, was stunning and goes well in an old property. Would not use again by choice. 02 December 2014
Great colour, but very hard to apply I didn't actually purchase the paint from the Farrow and Ball website because after the purchase went through I got an email informing me of the shipping costs to deliver to the Isle of Mull, an eye-watering £34.68. I ordered it from Homebase instead. The colour looks fantastic , but it took a staggering 6 coats to get an acceptable finish on a plain white wall. 23 November 2014
