Slipper Satin

No. 2004

Slipper Satin 4.6 5 33 33
Fantastic colour!! I am really delighted with the colour of this paint! I was unsure from the sample pot whether this colour would make my south-facing kitchen-diner look a bit drab, but I was wrong. This cream/grey is beautiful - fresh and clean, but elegant & calming. It looks lovely in our period home but also has a contemporary feel, so would work well anywhere. I could quite happily paint every room of my house in this colour. I've used Slipper Satin on walls with All White on ceiling & cornice. Still undecided on All White or Skimming Stone for woodwork. Paint goes on beautifully - it is a pain having to apply by brush though. July 22, 2014
The price reflects the quality I have used this produce many times and never fail to be satisfied with the coverage, ease of application and final result. I love the colours and if you decorate infrequently it is worth paying the extra to achieve results you are happy with. May 18, 2014
Great neutral colour Very pleased with the results. This is a good choice if you want to avoid bright white but still have that fresh & clean look. We now use this all over the house which makes life easier when patching up. Good quality & coverage March 23, 2014
My favourite colour I have used this colour in a number of rooms in my house. I like that it is a warm neutral with out being boring. It seems to go well with my curtains and accessories in different rooms, and as a neutral alongside accent walls. I have used both the estate emulsion and the modern emulsion in high use areas and both have a nice finish. My decorator commented how lovely it was to use. We have old lath and plaster walls in our house and the paint seems to suit. March 18, 2014
excellent colour Used this colour below the dado rail in victorian hallway (Matt finish). Thought at first it may come out to dark after looking at some reviews. But no, the way this paint absorbs light and shade is lovely, completed it with a lighter farrow and ball paint above the dado (dado white). Very impressed with result. (Floor is black and white tiles). Preferred it to many others such as clunch or dimity in this area. Also, used Pale Hound on the lounge walls (large victorian windows with moire silk grey blue curtains). ceiling cornices and rose, and woodwork all gloss white. Absolutley breathtaking finish. This colour was much better completed than it looked on a small patch from testpot. Impressed. February 22, 2014
lovely colour i have my bedroom in this colour and it is lovely. has a very slight brown warm hint to it and goes perfectly with purple curtains or rug. January 24, 2014
Beautiful, but definitely try a tester pot first! Slipper Satin is a lovely neutral, I would say in the 'milk-chocolate' colours group, but I would absolutely recommend you get a couple of tester pots first and paint a large patch with 2 coats to get a good impression of what it will eventually look like, on each wall of the room. This is because in a small or dark-ish room this colour can be an awful muddy brown - I agree with another reviewer here, the finished result is at least 3 shades darker than one would expect from looking just at the chip on the paint chart. Slipper Satin seems to absorb a lot of light, which in a large or very well-lit room is fine, but which would spell disaster in a small space. December 8, 2013
Blotchy to say the least We bought slipper satin eggshell to paint a pine dresser. All the required preparation was one beforehand. I had read all the reviews before buying as it is expensive to purchase. We are very disappointed with the result. Blotchy to say the least. This did not happen to other items we painted using other another brand. Can anyone please explain? October 12, 2013

A very successful off-white for woodwork with strong colours or as a wall colour used with many of the other whites, both lighter and darker. White & Light Tones Undercoat.
