Mole's Breath

No. 276

* Samples available in Estate Emulsion only. Colours on screen may vary from actual paint.

Mole's Breath is the most versatile of our stronger accents as it can be used both with the Easy Greys like Purbeck Stone and the Contemporary Neutrals like Elephant's Breath. It is particularly effective to ground kitchen islands. When used on walls, especially in small rooms, it creates a fabulously moody but soft room so is a great alternative to the colder bluer Down Pipe. Dark Tones Undercoat.

Great colour! Love the colour and probably a little darker than it looks on the sample. Painted onto a cream wall and took four coats to get the final even result. 29 April 2015
Mole's Breath After an enormously stressful start to rejuvenating our bathroom, Farrow & Ball yet again saved the day. Mole's Breath pulled all the different textures and tones in our tiny bathroom together. Candle lit bath with a glass of Buck's Fizz made the expletives and tears a distant memory. Thank you 05 February 2015
Good, but colour not what I expected First time using F&B paint, must say using dark tone undercoat I was really impressed, but when I started to put on Moles Breath I was at first disappointed, it didn't glide on like undercoat and the colour was a lot lighter than the colour chart. After 3 coats it got darker but it still wouldn't be like chart. I find the brush marks a little annoying also. 28 December 2014
Mole's Breath Estate Emulsion - Dynamic. First time decorating. Master Victorian bedroom. Went with F&B and results turned out better than expected. This is an incredible, dynamic colour. All the hard work paid off and I've had professional decorators review my work and given it the thumbs up. Ensure you use the dark tones primer. It's a must imho. The other thing I should add are that these paints are joy to work with. Works well with Cornforth White. 24 November 2014
great colour but not exactly what I was looking for purchased a sample and although I very much liked the colour, eventually went with stiffkey blue 17 November 2014
Not the gloss A long term fan of F and B paints. The estate emulsion is great.. fantastic coverage.. easy to use and great colours. The water based gloss is however absolutely awful to use. Coverage is terrible and its just not glossy...just a bit shiny. Very disappointed. Their previous oil based gloss was fantastic but this new stuff is substandard...even on the correct undercoat two coats were needed and I am still not happy with the finish. It wasn't broke you shouldn't have fixed it. 23 October 2014
Amazing colour I used this colour on a French style bed and it looks fabulous. As an amateur painter, I never use anything other that F&B as it is so easy to apply - and the results are always great. 23 June 2014
Stunning This is a gorgeous deep rich shade, really lovely. In the end we decided it was too brown for the effect we were after as we wanted a purer grey, but we will definitely use this colour elsewhere as it is very striking. Manor House Grey was the colour we chose in the end as it had less of the brown undertone. 06 June 2014
