India Yellow

No. 66

India Yellow is famously named after the pigment which was collected from the urine of cows who had been given a special diet of mango leaves! It creates a really cosy and surprisingly un-yellow space, when contrasted with a dark tone like Tanner's Brown. It should however be used in moderation in small rooms where its intensity may be overwhelming Red & Warm Tones Undercoat.

Great Choice I have a small living room. This paint combine with another two of your products have not only given it the illusion of there being more space it has given it a fresh and contemporary look. Very impressed as are friends and family. 11 November 2014
Great finished result Painted our Victorian dining room in India Yellow and it looks fantastic. The estate emulsion gave a deep, rich colour in the East facing room which has very little natural light. It is a dark room, but with gold lamps with black shades and a chandelier, the room becomes gold in illuminated areas, whilst the rest of the room takes on a more earthy tone. Our first dinner guests commented how warm the room felt. Love it! 14 September 2014

stunning golden colour This is an absolutely gorgeous colour, looks nothing like the display shade on the website. A lovely warm rich golden shade without being too bright. This is the first time I have rated highly for f&b paints as it goes on the wall like a dream leaving a sumptuous finish. The attached picture (although pixilated) is the exact shade on my wall. 24 July 2014
Striking beautiful colour We painted two walls in our kitchen in India Yellow modern emulsion. The colour and paint finish are perfect, the colour seems to change at different times of the day. We have found this with other Farrow and Ball paints and it makes them so interesting . We painted the remaining walls and ceiling in pointing which goes perfectly . Both work so well with the high gloss black units, the modern emulsion isn't too shiny but is a practical wipeable finish for a kitchen 28 May 2014
Beautiful Color I love this color but I didn't use it in the right place; it needs white trim (or some shade of white) and where I put there is wood trim, so there isn't enough contrast. I will definitely use it somewhere else, but right now I'm looking for another F & B color to repaint the hall where the India Yellow is. Quality and depth of color is excellent. 10 February 2014
Absolutely stunning We recently moved into our first home ...While starting with the paints ...our painters recommended Farrow and ball 's elephant breath for the living room .But since they were going to be expensive He said we could colour match it at Dulux . We went to the manchester store and were stunned at the colours we saw and ended up buying all the paints for the house from here ...and we are so pleased with the results .My favourites are "Indian yellow , elephant breath , Brinjal (as feature wall ) Fawn , and my daughters Cinder rose bedroom :)In the picture is Indian yellow as feature wall with Fawn side walls 12 September 2013
