Purbeck Stone

No. 275

* Samples available in Estate Emulsion only. Colours on screen may vary from actual paint.

Purbeck Stone which resembles the colour of the stone in the Isle of Purbeck, is the strongest of our Easy Neutrals with which it is the perfect counterbalance. Less cool and softer than Manor House Gray, it is the perfect tone for well lit modern rooms but can also be used as a darker accent for Skimming Stone instead of Elephant's Breath which some find too warm. Mid Tones Undercoat.

Beautiful grey. This is the first time I've used Farrow & Ball paints. My friends have recommended them in the past but I couldn't justify the cost. I decided to paint my conservatory myself and with the money I saved I spent on F&B paint. I wanted a pure grey for my conservatory and wasn't disappointed with purbeck stone. I was a little surprised by the green of the undercoat but it really brought out the grey. It really is a lovely grey and works very well with my IKEA bookcases. 03 May 2015
Great colour I have used this colour in all sorts of finishes inside and outside my house. It looks good everywhere, and is the perfect "non-colour" 02 May 2015
Lovely Lovely colour that we used for woodwork in our lounge with Cream no. 44. Lovely paint to use - only needed one coat, dried to touch in a couple of hours, but left overnight before putting anything on the window ledge. Good consistency - went on easily & didn't drip. Will definitely use again when the lounge is due to be redecorated. 23 March 2015

Lovely subtle colour, superb finish I teamed this colour with the darker grey; Moles' Breath, with a white dado rail in between. I was a bit worried after the first couple of coats as it looked as though it was more of a brown/grey but after the third coat it took on its true grey colour. The only down side is that my decorator said that the paint was quite thin and took 3-4 coats to cover an existing white wall. Other than that I love it. 24 January 2015
Greatest Grey ever i used the cornforth white in my kitchen cabinets which came out beautifully and since my kitchen is open plan when painting living room wood furniture i wanted a similar colour but not same. This is the new grey which is basically a slightly darker and toupe version of the cornforth fresh grey. It looks amazing in sunlight when it shines through and at night is slightly deeper colour. I used estate eggshell which i absulately love and if you are patient and let the paint dry and cure properly then it is resiliant to wiping and every day use as its such good quality. 08 January 2015
Brilliant colour and applied well I was a bit concerned when I read the reviews about the application of this paint but we had no problems at all. 2 coats on top of magnolia walls were ample. I had allowed for 3 coats after reading reviews so have lots left over. I could not find a grey like it and love my bedroom. We used along with brilliant white emulsion and satin wood and it looks great. I would definitely buy from Farrow and Ball again as the delivery was super quick at a reasonable price for delivery to the Highlands. 04 January 2015
Same as Cornforth White! I have been using F&B for years and have used both Cornforth White and Purbeck Stone in different rooms before (with great effect) With my latest project I used Cornforth White estate emulsion on the walls and Purbeck Stone Eggshell on some bedside tables, I was very disappointed to find they look exactly the same! They're on a wall that see's no natural light so maybe thats why. 01 January 2015
