Pelt

No. 254

* Samples available in Estate Emulsion only. Colours on screen may vary from actual paint.

Pelt is much bluer and more regal in feel than the similarly weighted Brinjal. It can appear almost black in dark spaces, but is particularly sensational in gloss when this luxurious purple comes to life with sumptuous effect. Often used as an accent with Churlish Green, a combination inspired straight from nature! Dark Tones Undercoat.

Beautiful depth of colour Pelt has to be my new favourite F&B shade stunning depth of colour that has completely transformed my bathroom. I did find this shade tricky to apply , avoiding roller track lines was very difficult and it did require four coats . However it was worth the stress and I'm very happy with the overall results . 18 February 2015
True Purple This is a very dark colour. I painted it on to a wooden Ikea chair and it came out beautifully, a bit more purple than an aubergine, and almost as dark. It goes well with the other colours I've used. I wouldn't use this on a wall, but that's just me, because my house is small. 15 February 2015
Beautiful deep purple Just what I wanted for my cabinet upcycling project! After much debate I decided to go for a bold and chose pelt. I'm very pleased with the final result and colour. It's true to the swatch and adds a hint of colour and luxury to the room. It's rich and bold. The paint itself needs 3-4 coats but got there in the end. The wall colour in the picture is Lamp Room Grey and the skirting/windows are All White. 27 January 2015
Lovely colour, very matt finish I chose Pelt for a front door on a victorian rental property, the colour is fantastic, a rich dark red/brown and the paint went on well. The finish is very matt and I think in retrospect I should have chosen a gloss finish, so I will keep you posted on another front door I am doing in black blue in full gloss. For a front door which will be used all the time I want a finish that will not mark too much so I will have to see how the matt paint lasts. 15 January 2015
STUNNING. Flawless finish. Couldn't be happier! My painter thought I was crazy...about the color and the cost of the paint. Not crazy. Used Pelt in the Estate Emulsion. Amazing finish! So matte. So rich. Painted an accent wall in the dining room - painted the door and all trim on the wall hoping that both would disappear. It was paint magic. The wall is so fabulous. My painter said that it was easy to use - we used the recommended undercoat on the wall and all the trim. I will buy more F&B paint for sure. 15 December 2014
Covers better than expected Rich, warm colour ,has a very natural overtone of brown, wonderful. 06 October 2014
Pleased with result I loved using this paint from undercoat to top coat (two coats of each as our front door was pretty old) and the result is great. Do be warned that the colour can be quite purple - possibly less so for some positions on different surfaces - but for our front door in bright sunshine it was a bit startling at first. Looks good with the polished brass though! 06 August 2014
