Colour wasn't what I expected
The colour is very green I would say more khaki then grey, but the quality of the paint was excellent.

Because of the way your paints are made, which we like, the color changes as the light changes. This is not a plain gray, this is very definitely a green gray with brown overtones.

Love, Love, Lâ¡VE Farrow & Ball... this is a really nice shade which I used along side Old White... and together they really coordinate together nicely.

Elegant and adaptable to different places
We used Light Gray on our downstairs hall walls through to the upstairs landing combined with lime white above the dado or picture rails. This colour combination works in perfect harmony and the colours produce a wonderful spectrum of shades depending on time of day or part of the house - so it gives the impression you have used more than two colours.Never too dark and not an industrial grey. A perfect backdrop for contemporary art and antique mirros. We loved it so much we painted our living room in the same colourways but with shaded white on the wood panelling below the dado - again, very elegant but with warm undertones. Perfect application too.

A grey for all seasons
'Light Grey' doesn't do justice to the colour.
Works beautifully with all soft, muted, traditional tones (greens, blues, ocre, lilac and mauves) but is quite masculine and modernist too - so makes a stunning backdrop for bright or retro brights accents - even acid tones (I've had soft furnishings in all colours and patterns over the years, and the walls have always been Light Grey). I would agree with the other reviewer who said it sets off black & white prints brilliantly. And my cast iron fire surround looks great too, even though it's in serious need of a good scrub.
I have a similiar, but slighlty lighter, French Grey in my bedroom - and that is definitely a lot more green than this. I would say the closest comparison I could give to this colour when dry is the colour of wet cement.
I would heartily recommend adding a sample pot of this to your basket if you're thinking of decorating your living room, study or a large hallway. But would go for an brighter ivory or off white ceiling/woodwork rather than white as, in my opinion, unless immaculate they can look cold and dingy next to each other.

Use your paint often. More than just a light grey. Great depth and ease of application. Use a lot of paint in my job as a decorator. Always recommend Farrow and Ball

Super colour for a large light area
This was for our dining hall and landing. It goes superbly with reds and greens and is much warmer than the lighter colour we had before. Creates an intimate atmosphere without being too dark. Thrilled with the results!
