Best gloss pain that I have ever used.
On application it looks worryingly pink. Then over the drying hours it coagulates into a Hammer House red of luscious depth and power. Bloody great paint.

Breathtaking colour & finish
The estate emulsion in Incarnadine is to die for. Absolutely stunning - I used it in a bedroom on two walls (North & West facing) along with Churlish Green Estate emulsion, on two window walls facing South & East, with New White eggshell on woodwork. A rich velvet colour that I admire every time I walk into the room.
This colour's also proved to have an exceptional affinity with the cooler, greenish white of Bone eggshell & looks very elegant combined with this.

This product was excellent in every way.
This product was excellent - five stars all round. Delivery was quick, the colour is exactly what I was looking for and very importantly it doesn't splatter, which was great news given our new oak skirting boards. I will certainly be buying more paint from Farrow and Ball.

My 14 year old daughter chose this paint for her room. Not available in any store but easy to order online. Only a couple of days to deliver. Great colour and sheen from this paint.

Gorgeous color but too shiny
I have repainted my whole house using F&B colors. I have a small child so I was advised to use modern emulsion rather than estate emulsion. In the other rooms/colors I am really happy with the result, it looks beautiful. I have just painted my living room in Incarnadine and I have to say I am really disappointed. I love the color, but the sheen is too strong. To be honest I won't be able to live with it. I think I will have to apply one more coat in a mat finish.
I don't quite understand because I already painted 5 other rooms with modern emulsion and it looks great.

lovely but not right for application
Rather than "rate" the color. I chose not to use it in a room with a North East exposure on the planned 4 walls because of the terra cotta color that underlays the red resulting in a drabness grayed by the natural light.
this is not a criticism of the color just a description of it's unsuitableness for the current application.
i chose a brighter color from a different manufacturer. with respect. Janet

gorgeous colour, like a chinese red lacquer
I painted an antique chest of drawers in the high-gloss. It was a challenge to get the smooth piano-like finish I desired, especially with the water-based paint. The oil finishes flowed much better, and the paint seemed to melt into itself. The new finish dries very quickly and I ended up using an extender and at least 5 or 6 coats to get the finish I was happy with. Not for the impatient, but the end result is well worth it. An expensive top-quality brush helped achieve my goal.

A beautiful strong colour, warm at dusk and glowing at other times...
Incarnadine is a beautiful strong colour, warm at dusk and glowing at other times. Painted on a "feature" wall in my old French farmhouse living-room and staircase, against which the old oak stair climbs. The wall was a type of 'Snowcem' exterior finish so my painter was swearing #in French# but 2 coats covered it beautifully #even if he did have to scrape out the sample tin to finish#. I hope it will last long as I am much enjoying it.
