Hound Lemon

No. 2

* Samples available in Estate Emulsion only. Colours on screen may vary from actual paint.

Hound Lemon, originally named by John Fowler, the greatest colourist of his generation, appears to be particularly green in north facing rooms and is best used in well lit spaces if you want a pale yellow feel. Like the lighter Pale Hound it is particularly suited for use in garden rooms, where its green base creates a perfect connection with the shades of nature. Mid Tones Undercoat.

An adaptable colour We always use Farrow and Ball paint as we are always satisfied with the product, ease of use and quality. The range of colours is excellent. Hound Lemon is a favourite of ours as it works well in many settings. In this house we have used it for the boot room as it is in the basement and never gets the full sun. The finished room looks stunning. 06 April 2015

Just stunning What can I say...stunning. I love the way the colour deepens and subtly changes in different light. A classy flat emulsion. This against the White looks so classy. I'm over the moon. 18 March 2015
Cheerful, but not overbright. We used this colour on our bedroom walls in our previous house in a N facing room which never got any sun. We have now used it in a newly built garden room which we want to be cheerful when the sun doesn't shine and not too bright when it does... 26 December 2014
Amazing colour Having decided to have a new kitchen with light coloured doors I had to also choose a new colour for the walls. Having looked at the Farrow and Ball colour chart and finally picked the colour Hound Lemon I am so pleased that I made that choice because it looks fabulous. The quality and texture were great and so easy to apply. I applied two coats for a more even colour and I am so pleased with the result. I would definitely recommend this paint to anyone wanting a slightly more different colour to other brands. 25 October 2014
Gorgeous colour, paint took a bit of getting used to Bought this to paint a dresser, table and chairs in my large conservatory that has a glass roof. Used correct undercoat, paint went on quite thinly and was unlike any paint I'd used, took 3 coats of paint to achieve the desired effect but the colour is truly gorgeous and looks stunning in this light and airy space, beautiful true colour, very impressed with colour chart as very accurate. 15 June 2014
Just perfect We painted kitchen and lounge walls with hound yellow. It changes with the light and has a lovely warm feel. Lighter in the sun, cosier once it gets dark. It s a wonderful colour for our 200 y old cottage and works well with white sash-windows and the dark stained original floorboards. Goes on a treat and a little goes a long way... 25 July 2013
Lovely subtle colour We spoke to Farrow and Ball for a suggested colour for our kitchen chairs, having painted our units in cooking apple green. We have oak worktops, oak floor, and dark pine table. The chairs in hound lemon look terrific. Not a colour we would have thought of but the effect is great. 21 July 2013
