Great Colour but very expensive for poor final finish! This is the 2nd time I have purchased and been disappointed with the Farrow & Ball product and finish. The brand has a lovely range of classic, traditional and contemporary colours to choose from. The problem is I truly believe you are paying for a name with this product as the paint quality and finish are poor. I have used the cheaper paint brands and been a lot more impressed. I believe in buying quality with most things I purchase. I will however not be buying Farrow & Ball again. Simply not value for money!! November 25, 2014
Fabulous rich colour We've bought this colour before... our front door has been painted in it a few times & looks stunning, a few years back our kitchen woodwork was painted in it, and now we have painted the woodwork in my office. It looks really gorgeous, is very deep in shade, and it works well in our old fashioned house. (I'm not so sure it would be as good in a more modern house, but it seems to suit being in darker more characterful rooms). Anyway, we love it. Use 2 coats on top of the proper dark undercoat and it will be perfect. November 22, 2014
Fabulous depth of colour We completely transformed the feel of our living room with this colour. It went on like a dream with excellent coverage. Looks amazing with our sofas in warm grey linen. Very happy customer! November 22, 2014
not the colour we expected once painted the colour of the paint was not as expected from the colour chart. no issues with the quality of paint or its application. we will have to use a different colour. September 29, 2014
Gorgeous color This paint is amazing. The perfect color and texture. Exactly what I wanted! September 20, 2014
good quality but not quite intense enough farrow and ball always have good quality paints... This is no exception. My only complaint is that it is not quite the colour displayed. I chose it for my front door because of its intense, rich colour. It is a lot lighter then it appears... a lot! More like a royal blue then a black/blue which was what I thought I was getting. I understand how light works, changing colours in different types but this was very different. Normally when you choose a colour it is a lot darker then you expect, not the other way round. Though saying that my front door has lots of light on it during the day. August 21, 2014
Excellent product An expensive product but is easy to use and the final outcome is excellent. The postage was expensive and I was unable to get it from Homebase. August 18, 2014
Beautiful Colour and Finish After painting our spare rooms with a lower-quality paint, my husband and I decided to go ahead and buy some better quality paint for what will be our master bedroom, and I'm glad we did. The paint was a dream to work with - easy to apply and a rich, beautiful colour. After reading reviews stating the matt estate emulsion marks easily and is difficult to clean, I decided to buy the modern emulsion instead. The finish is really nice and it doesn't mark when you touch it. Our walls weren't perfectly smooth, but the colour is so rich it just added character the imperfections. In retrospect I wish I had spent a bit more money and did all of our rooms in Farrow and Ball - it costs more but the colours and coverage is much better and you get what you pay for. The bedroom is still a work in progress but here's a couple picture to show how the colour looks on the walls in a north-facing room. August 15, 2014
