Eating Room Red

No. 43

* Samples available in Estate Emulsion only. Colours on screen may vary from actual paint.

Eating Room Red feels authentically 19th century due to its deep blackened pigmentation which gives it an instantly aged feel. This special colour is the most elegant and traditional of our reds. It looks almost like a saturated purple if you compare it to the more modern looking Incarnadine. Red & Warm Tones Undercoat.

Beautiful finish Absolutely fabulous - I have used Farrow & Ball ever since I started decorating five years ago. Every colour I use is gorgeous! Always use the recommended undercoat and the results will be as promised on the tin. Superb colours and finishes. 11 November 2014
Beautiful deep warm colour that is not at all overly dark. This colour is what I decided on after 4 sample pots: Rectory Red, Radicchio, Picture Gallery Red, and of course this lovely Eating Room Red. Eating Room Red is warm, deep and a true red rather than a slightly pinker/purpler tone that some of the other reds. Darker colours can make rooms look smaller but in my north facing dining area, it looks the same size as before when I had a pale colour, but is just loads nicer! 03 November 2014
Love this with Old White! Looks great on my landing, can't wait to see it progress down the stairs! 13 January 2014
A wonderful warm colour which enhances the ambience of entertaining It has long been an ambition of mine to paint a dining room in Eating Room Red ever since I first saw the colour. Putting a darker shade over a lighter colour was not quite as easy as I thought. After the Warm Tones Undercoat, two final coats are needed to gain the consistency and depth of colour. The extra effort is however well worth it! 15 September 2013
Buy me buy me buy me The most beautiful colour for a large Victorian room. It goes on easily and evenly. I think the colour is even better than the colour chart. As it is a darker colour I would recommend 3 coats for large walls. If you undercoat you could get away with using 2 coats. I used this paint in the master bedroom 3 years ago and it is still immaculate. I teamed it with an antique satin colour for woodwork. I liked it so much I have bought another tin to use elsewhere. 04 September 2013
Beautiful stunning colour I have used this colour on my stairs. It is very striking and is the first thing you see when stepping into the the hallway.I will extend this colour to the upper landing too. This paint is very easy to use,and the consistency leaves no drips. I am very pleased that I chose this colour.Excellent paint. 23 July 2013
vey good I do decorative art in particular painted furniture. I find the range of colours ideal and a very good base for the design .My only comment is I wish you had a range of smaller sized tins. 19 May 2013
Lovely rich colour I've used this on doors and small tables. It's a very deep red, with very slight underlying tones of terracotta. It looks like it's been there for decades. I used it in a small, dark north-facing kitchen with Off White skirting and Old White walls, and it looks great. On things such as tables, it goes with almost any colour scheme I've tried it with, and gives an injection of colour and a depth of shade whilst not being too attention-seeking. 01 April 2013
