Clunch

No. 2009

Clunch 4.6 5 28 28
Soft, Warm, and Pleasing I will admit that I did not expect to like Clunch, especially in the bedroom. However, once I got it home, I gently prised it open, started spreading and was very quickly delighted with the results. It is much warmer and softer than I had imagined, and even once dry is still very nice to look at. I had been concerned about smell and happily this was not an issue (though I did seem to make quite a mess!). If you have never tried it and want to change things up in the bedroom, I would thoroughly recommend that you give Clunch a go. August 8, 2014
Transformed our kitchen ceiling Used this colour on our kitchen ceiling and walls along with off white on the beams. Was very nervous but took the advice from the shop and stuck with it. Now have a fresh kitchen feel - almost a New England type look that I was not expecting. Very pleased after all the hard work. Now painting the units in Blue Gray. Almost don't recognise the room. Worth the money Up until now I have never been able to afford costly paints, and so my homes have been finished with 'bog standard' colours. Having moved, we decided to kit out this house 'properly'. I couldn't find the exact subtle colour I was looking for… until I found clunch paint by F&B. It is beautiful. The subtleties in colour and luminosity of the paint as the quality of light changes throughout the day is incredible. We have painted our kitchen and dining room walls with this paint - it just seems to solidify the walls somehow, making everything seem more natural and a lot less forced than the cheaper colours, which I find can sometimes be garish, even if you are looking at neutrals. My advice is to definitely get a tester pot - especially if you are using the colour chart on your computer as monitors do not always show a true representation. Put the paint on all walls with different light quality to see the tonal differences. Clunch has green shades in it, this is very subtle and adds a warmth to large expanses of wall. I'd definitely recommend this colour. June 19, 2014
Beautiful soft colour - touch paint. The wall painted with Clunch was mistakenly jet washed just after painting. I was worried that it would come off - but it stood up to the jet wash amazingly well - so I am really impressed with the quality. No more jet washing though! June 18, 2014
Wish I has read the review on north east views Using this in my kitchen east facing with a lot of natural light. Much darker than the chalk I was expecting. A bit dull when sitting next to Dix blue which is fabulous. Greenish tinges. Wish I had went lighter. Can see it working well on furniture though. May 4, 2014
Wholeheartedly recommended! Clunch is a very versatile colour and has sat very comfortably with many different colours used, it's my standby. I find that the warm soft tone of clunch adds a certain degree of period aging to the finish. So far I have used it to decorate 2 large bedrooms, a rustic café and 2 log cabins, all of which have a different feel, all of which look fabulous. Very contented - thank you! April 17, 2014
Great to work with Perfect colour for my dark French farmhouse kitchen. Painted woodwork, stairs and working Dresser in Clunch. Easy to apply, definitely needed undercoat and two topcoats, but end result very pleasing indeed and worth the effort. Works well with the Old White on the walls. No smell, brushes easy to clean and re-use. After only a few days the paint has tempered to a hard and durable finish. April 9, 2014
many good qualities, one slight disappointment I found the floor paint very easy to apply, it went on smoothly and the finish is good. My one disappointment is the way in which some liquid spills mark the paint permanently - most marks just sponge off, but a few have left stains. I haven't been able to work out whether they were tea, coffee or something else. My friends' response is 'Well, if you will choose such a light floor, what can you expect?' but I had high hopes - and I do really love the way the warm, light colour lifts my dark hallway and kitchen.
