Churlish Green is quite an unusual colour. We have used it on a feature wall with a Lime White stencil on top. As with all F&B paints this colour changes with the time of day and light conditions and in a dual aspect room (north/south) it really comes alive on a sunny day. We found it to be a perfect colour to complement our walnut floor and furniture resulting in a contemporary but natural and calming space.
It did require 3 coats on a previous magnolia wall.

Beautiful stunning fresh colour
Painted one feature wall in churlish green. A very well lit room with lots of natural daylight. Remaining walls painted in Slipper Satin. All compliments the outlook onto the garden. Really delighted.

Does what it says on the tin!
This paint is so beautiful to work with, it is like painting with silk. Great, even coverage and the resulting colour is exactly as shown on the colour chart, which has often not been the case with other brands I've used leading to disappointment with the finished product. I shall not hesitate in using Farrow and Ball for future decorating projects.

Churlish Green was chosen to try and liven up dark brown kitchen cupboards
The quality of F&B paints for their colour tones, coverage and finish, is well known. I have bought a large amount over the years and never disappointed. I chose Churlish Green to paint round the dark brown modern kitchen cupboards inherited in new house, in attempt to liven up the room and it has certainly done this, the colours go together so well, have now also painted an old 30's cane chair and that's also perfect/ Brush now poised wondering what else I can paint.... Churlish Green is a subtle lime green, very classy!

Exactly what I was looking for
I chose Churlish Green exterior masonry paint for the stonework on my Victorian London brick terrace. I spent many months stripping 120 years of paint from the stone and discovered that for the majority of its history it was shades of pale yellow and beige. I did a bit of research and found out that the fashion for white painted stone is a recent one, and in the Victorian era everyone picked a colour they liked.
I wanted to reflect the fact that the stone was predominantly painted shades of yellow, but I'm not a fan of pale yellow so chose this colour instead. I think it echoes the history of the house, but is also a modern shade that let's me put my own stamp on it after all that hard work!
I'm sure my neighbours would prefer me to paint it white, but they'd be wrong. Wait until they see what colour I'm painting the door ;)

Great colour and smooth texture
Easy to apply. Good coverage. I have heard it chips easily compared to some cheaper brands but other that I would recommend this lovely olive green paint.

Great colour, but⦠Couleur superbe, mais...
Beware of the Dark Tones Undercoat which is recommended,
I think it's really a bad thing to do.
I have the practice of Farrow & Ball paintings for 13 years,
I was very satisfied, ever.
I wanted to follow the recommendation I found on website,
I ordered the Dark Tones Undercoat, while having a doubt because Churlish Green is a bright colour⦠and I should have trusted my intuition ! The result is disaster, I have to apply a 3rd layer of Churlish Green to expect a correct result.
(one little part is perfect with 2 layers on a white undercoat !)

WOW what a colour! Used it in the hall and stairs and looks great. Really cheery and everyone comments on it. I thought it was a bit vivid but it looks brilliant.
