Charlotte's Locks has a playful name, taking its inspiration from the flame red hair of Farrow & Ball’s Head of Creative, and it also has a playful late 70s look to it. It is particularly spectacular when used in small areas with a strong contrast either All White or Pitch Black - for the very brave try it in Full Gloss! Red & Warm Tones undercoat.

Beautiful Colour Gorgeous colour - it is the perfect orange. I used as a feature wall in my bedroom, with a beige toned white. The perfect uplift, and is not too overpowering, looks rich and sophistcated. Feels smooth on walls unlike most chalky feeling matte colours, also smells surprisingly good too. Absolute pleasure to paint with. Couldn't recommend this enough. 22 June 2015
Feature Wall Wanted this to go above a half tiled walled featuring Amber/ orange mosaics. This is a lovely warm shade that was exactly what I wanted, adds a different dimension to my bathroom which has been much admired. This is not a harsh orange but a warm earthy tone. 02 June 2015
One word "Stunning!" THE most gorgeous shade of orange! Warm and sophisticated. Used in our tv room teamed with london clay on the chimney breast and string on the walls. Always happy with my Farrow & Ball choices! 25 May 2015
Lovely colour I have only ordered a sample pot so far, but it is the exact colour we are looking for, I have purchased lots of samples of orange and not found the right colour until Farrow and Ball, the paint has a lovely depth to it, but does require several coats and is not particularly low price. 06 February 2015
Glorious colour! Bought this to paint the outside of a Victorian cast iron bath. I was really worried about making a mess of a lovely antique but the paint went on really well and I achieved a great finish by using a mini roller. Lovely paint to work with and a glorious colour. 02 February 2015
Lovely deep but bright colour - perfect I put about 6 coats of an orange paint from a different manufacturer on the piece of furniture I wanted to paint, and still had a washy sorbet-looking colour. Charlotte's Locks looked exactly the same colour on the tin, but instantly gave good, deep coverage and a great gloss. Just disappointed that I wasted time on the other product. 20 January 2015
New formula is too quick drying Eggshell seems to have changed. It's like painting with quick drying custard. 23 December 2014
Lovely colour, but not great coverage. We painted our music room this colour, looks fab with all the wooden instruments etc. my friend said it's like being surrounded in tomato soup. It looks really good with crisp white wood work. Information said to use warm undercoat, well it was going over fb eating room red, so I recon warm undercoat. It took 4 coats to cover it, and I really think it could do with another coat but it's all ready taken 5 litres to paint a room 2.80 x 3 metre room, so it will have to do. 16 December 2014
