Cat's Paw

No. 240

Cat's Paw 5 5 9 9
Unusual greeny yellow colour Painted a wooden dresser in cats paw eggshell to go against savage ground walls and cllunch ceiling. Blends in very well. October 7, 2014
Cat's Paw is a stunning colour when combined with deep red/burgundy/gold fabrics & dark wooden furniture. We'd got a lovely dining room which needed re-painting, but we still had some beautiful curtains & some fabric covered dining chairs which were upholstered in rich red/gold coloured fabric. This paint has worked beautifully with that colour scheme, it is truly stunning! (We have got dark wooden dining table, that also works well with this shade) We've used F&B paint seveal times before over 12+ years. Every time we use someone else's paint we always end up disappointed, so we came back to F&B for this project. The paint has now been up about 3 months & it still looks perfect - we opted for the Modern Emulsion to give us that extra durability, and it was worth the extra money. We also painted the radiator using the Estate Eggshell in the same shade of Cat's Paw - and that looks wonderful too! One tip - do use 2 coats of the proper F&B undercoat & then do 2 coats of the top coat. Yes, it takes you a little bit longer, but the finish you get will make it look like you had professional decorators in! The paint dried quickly, so we did each coat on consecutive days, so the project was finished without too much faffing about. If it lasts as long as the last time we decorated that rooom in F&B paint, then it'll next need doing in a decade from now! While F& B paint might well cost a little more, we've not yet found any other brand of paint that will last a decade, and be as good as F&B paint is! ....Now back on the website to buy paint for the next 2 rooms! Outstanding finish I bought this for our newly built dining room, and loved it so much that I followed it through in to my kitchen....It looks so fantastic, and would definitely recommend 100% August 18, 2014
simply gorgeous colour Bought this for my bathroom woodwork, bit worried as have always used white, looks amazing! July 14, 2014
Exceptional colour depth and the perfect backdrop for modern and traditional art work. After extensive colour trials I selected 'Cats Paw' Modern Emulsion for my north facing kitchen. This is the second time I have worked with the modern emulsion paint range and the colour and ease of coverage is quite exceptional. Initially sceptical that this paint type would not reflect the same depth of colour or integrity of the Estate Emulsions I have been pleasantly convinced it has equal value especially in steam filled bathrooms and high traffic kitchens! The colour Cats Paw is not too yellow toned nor neutral yet blends well with the light and dark woods of my beech and walnut kitchen units. This colour looks warm yet not overwhelming in artificial light. Highly recommended - keep painting the colour will recess when all walls are completed. It is the most perfect backdrop for modern and traditional art work. August 18, 2013
full gloss ceiling I used this in full gloss on a coffered ceiling with the beams painted white. It looks stunning. May 27, 2013
Excellent coverage and application. Smooth application with excellent coverage and a deep lustre to the final finish. Superb quality paint and reassuringly expensive! March 25, 2013

Stronger in colour than its counterparts String and Cord, this is a good yellow-based neutral. Try alongside darker reds and warm blues. Mid Tones Undercoat.
