Calluna

No. 270

* Samples available in Estate Emulsion only. Colours on screen may vary from actual paint.

Calluna takes its name from the beautiful heather so prolific across the moors of Scotland. It has an underlying black that makes it feel both soft and tranquil but strangely sophisticated as it is more lilac than pink. It can be contrasted with sympathetic Great White or used with darker Brassica and Pelt to great effect. White & Light Tones Undercoat.

Sophisticated color solution I have an eastern facing large living room and northern facing large hall, with pumpkin colored fir floors. I wanted a neutral color but warm greys looked frumpy and a little too close. Calluna seemed too lilac-y on color card but on wall made the room cool, but not cold, and expansive. In daylight a very pale periwinkle blue, at night changes to a comfortable neutral grey. Calluna can use a bit of a warm color to contrast against it, which is why it sits so well with my fir floors. 13 April 2015
It does what it says on the tin! Sample pots are good. Easier than some other samples with built in brush. Colour does not look synthetic. Mail order was quick and easier and very reasonable postage - certainly not worth getting in the car to buy. 16 March 2015
Gorgeous paint!! It's easy to use, did the job really well and looks fabulous with its intense chalky finish. I highly recommend the colour and the finish. The darker colour is brassica also gorgeous. 06 February 2015
Lovely finish for external door Easy to apply and the colour was true to that shown on the website. I was very pleased with the service and my front door looks exactly as I'd hoped. 20 October 2014

Peaceful and Warm Brassica and Calluna look great together. Good coverage. Peaceful warm colours - looks great with soft greens and turqoises. We paited book cases in brassica eggshell and were most impressed with the undercoat recommended and the eggshell finish. 30 July 2014
Best paint I've ever used This was the first F&B paint we'd used and we were not disappointed. We used the Calluna paint to redecorate our study and chose the colour without buying a tester as we roughly knew what colour we wanted. The reviews of others about this paint helped us in that decision about the colour. We ordered the paint online, it turned up within a day or two. This paint is really easy to apply by brush and roller and the finish is the best finish I've ever got from a paint. Two coats were needed and we are delighted with the colour. It does look different in differing light varying from a light grey to light lavender but it provides a soothing atmosphere. Whilst I was initially concerned about the cost compared to other high street type paints that cost is well worth it when you see the results. We are now planning to do our hall, stairs and landing in F&B paint. 21 May 2014
