Bone is less green than Fawn and softer than Old White. It creates a stony timeless look, particularly suited to halls when combined with Lime White on woodwork. It can also be used on woodwork with lighter tones to create light and space, or as a sympathetic neutral with stronger more traditional colours.

Just what I had been looking for! I have been looking for this colour for a long time and discovered it originally when using the mid tones undercoat for another F & B colour. I found out that the nearest colour to this undercoat was Bone and have used it in the Modern emulsion in our lounge. I am over the moon with this colour! It works really well with our furnishings and paintings and brightens up our north facing room. Coverage was not as good as other F & B paints but other than that it is perfect! 30 March 2015
Restful colour Used on our new bathroom paneling and door with interior wood primer and undercoat. Our decorator had never used Farrow and Ball before and was very impressed. 24 March 2015
Easy to apply, good quality, no odour This colour was applied to our kitchen walls in estate emulsion. It is a lovely colour which shows shades of cream, light green and pale grey depending on the light conditions. Very easy to apply and good coverage with no odour. Have also used Elephant's Breath in the dining room and equally pleased with the results 18 February 2015
Good to use and good depth of colour Good to use. Goes on easy and covers very well. Like all F&B paints I've used it has great depth of colour and looks exceptional in situ. 12 December 2014
excellent finish I used bone for my internal doors and got a top finish, as I sprayed my doors I was surprise by excellent coverage and top finish I got. 28 November 2014
Beautiful depth of colour I have just painted the sitting room in my cottage in Bone. The paint is lovely to use, I applied two coats and I am so pleased with the finished result. As with most Farrow and Ball colours it changes with the light, it is a beautiful colour, sometimes appearing quite creamy but also with a hint of mossy green, but warm and deep. Lovely by day and in the evening too. Very pleased! 11 November 2014
Great colours as always but.... I have used Farrow and Ball Paints for the last 15 years now and really appreciate the subtly of their colours which are imitated by others but seldom matched. What latterly disappoints however is the loss of oil based eggshell finishes. The water based paints are undoubtedly easier and cleaner to use but they simply do not match the finish that could be achieved with the oil based paints. I would prefer to be able to choose whether to use oil based paints. 22 September 2014
Not same color The color is different on walls then the actual color when you paint on the wall. I'm painting touches on the same color and it has a hint of grey. 11 September 2014
