Blackened is the coolest of all our whites and is particularly spectacular when used in Full Gloss with stainless steel kitchens. It sits perfectly with all the Architectural Cool group, particularly as a woodwork colour with Pavilion Gray. To see more colour, pair it with All White for a really strong uncompromisingly modern look conducive to minimal living. White & Light Tones Undercoat.

Lovely pale silvery grey We painted our master bedroom which has two big windows facing North West and a skylight in a vaulted ceiling which faces North East in Blackened modern emulsion and it's beautifully tranquil and fresh looking. I warmed up our room with pops of colour eg soft raspberry and mint and soft custard yellow on cushions etc - looks lovely. Also painted three walls of my daughter's bedroom, (she had a coral accent wall on the fourth) and it looks great in there too - faces South East. Very contemporary with white gloss units. Love Blackened, love pale grey in general! 07 February 2015
Beautiful Relaxing Light Colour I used a really good base coat (twice) as I was having to cover a more intense colour. This enabled my choice of paint, Blackened, to be unaffected by any base/previous colours. It has really lightened my bathroom, has both warm yet cool tones and is very relaxing. I used 2 coats of Blackebed to get the professional finish I was seeking. I also invested in a Farriw & Ball paintbrush which made the whole painting process much more enjoyable and less arduous. I have also used the same paint in my bedroom on a feature wall but the time did not use a base coat. I painted over a rather unusual Mediterranean blue and by applying Blackened directly on top have achieved a lovely lilac colour - Blackened over a white base coat is a very light matte silver/grey 23 January 2015
It's not all down to F and B We have a great decorator who resolutely fills, sands, fills and sands again. Then two coats and the final result is like Jersey cream. The depth of colour is remarkable and we love it. There was a problem with the delivery company but the full cost was instantly refunded. Very good service 20 January 2015
Quality you might expect from F&B Excellent quality paint, recently painted my daughters bedroom floor. We have used this elsewhere in high traffic areas and the floor is still looking good even after two full on A level results parties (alchohol, heels, food, the works). I wouldn't use anything else other than F&B floor paint having used it before. Also, very helpful instruction sheets from the F&B website. 29 December 2014
Highly recommended The colour chart does not provide a good representation of the shade of paint - so if you're considering using it make sure you buy a tester pot first. In natural light it looks grey, in good sunshine it looks violet and under artificial light it appears blue. We really like the result in our kitchen/dining room and it's helped to tone down the 'yellow' tone of the cream fitted units. 01 November 2014
very pale blue! In my very blight dining room wall, this looks very pale blue, or sometimes white. I originally wanted a bit stronger color, but still very elegant; so I kept it. I used "POINTIG" for skirting and cornice. 29 October 2014
Blackened Lovely paint, it has made a dark hall very bright. The paint it rich, creamy lovely paint to work with. It's worth the money. 07 July 2014
